Find out about careers and training opportunities in growing industries in the local area – The West of England Skills Expo 2022 is a careers fair, but taken to the next level!
Hosted at We The Curious in Bristol City Centre, at this event you’ll be walking around speaking to different employers as well as staff from local colleges to learn what’s out there in the world of work and how you can achieve the qualifications and skills needed to succeed in the up and coming industries in the West of England.
The Expo is being facilitated by the four local FE Colleges that have been working together to ensure that there is a future talent pipeline for all the exciting jobs and opportunities that will be open to people in the West of England.

Adult learners (19+)
Whether you’re looking to re-train, upskill or change career, at The West of England Skills Expo 2022 you can have exclusive access to local employers to get your foot in the door, talk to organisations and discover what might be the best next steps for you. Our College staff can then inform you about the ideal course that will give you the key to unlocking your future. You can even apply or a course there and then!
School leavers (Year 11s)
If you’re not sure what you want to do after school, the Expo will help you to find out about different roles from local businesses. You can then talk to the college staff to find out the right course to get you onto the career path that inspires you! If you do know what you want to go into, you might not know about some of the more specific roles that you can learn about from an employer that interests you.
Getting to the event
First Bus have kindly sponsored the event and will be offering discounted bus travel to attendees to help them travel to and from the event. Information about this offer will be detailed in the booking confirmation email.
Did you know?
24% of employers at the beginning of the pandemic were unable to fill vacancies due to skills gaps despite increasing levels of unemployment. Vacancies were largest in technical careers such as: Digital and hi-tech, health and life sciences, engineering and skills for technologies of the future. Meet these employers here today!
